Jordan Bush is an ecologist and science communicator who uses her passion for storytelling to connect the public with today’s most pressing environmental issues. As Strategic Communication Lead for Rooted Waters, she helps clients develop clear messages, compelling narratives, and striking visuals to meet their communication goals. She brings a deep love of writing in all its forms, strong technical knowledge of ecological and climate science, and a creative spirit that loves imagining how cool something could be.  

Prior to joining Rooted Waters, she spent five years as a communications specialist with the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Climate Adaptation Science Center (National CASCs). There, she wrote articles, shot and edited videos, developed website content, and created social media posts about climate change impacts on landscapes and wildlife. Seeing the real-world impacts of CASC science instilled a deep love of and appreciation for public service, and a realization that thoughtful stewardship at any scale can make a difference.
